The other day we had an appointment at the showroom with a little girl who had her mind made up. She knew she wanted our Elena Communion pants set, the tulle jumpsuit. Why was she so sure? Read on to find out all the advantages of choosing a style like this one.

Maria and her mother found a picture of our monkey Elena in their internet search engine and immediately knew that was the one. modern first communion suit for girls They wanted. María doesn't generally like dresses much. Last year she attended her brother's Communion and looked at what the girls were wearing, but nothing appealed to her. María plays soccer and loves running, jumping, and skipping. A dress? She didn't think it was very suitable, too uncomfortable. Another option she saw at her brother's Communion was a white suit, but a thought immediately popped into her head, "I don't want to look like a dad."   She wants to look like herself, she doesn't want to feel disguised on her communion day.

The only thing that made her a little hesitant was that the jumpsuit was a bit uncomfortable for going to the bathroom. And she was absolutely certain that today wasn't the day to be uncomfortable or worried about the limits imposed by clothing. When they finally found the product online and realized it was a blouse and pants set, María was already crystal clear: She wanted to take her Communion wearing the Elena jumpsuit from Quémono.

Another thing Maria was very clear about was that she wanted the pants to be ankle-length. Let's face it, no matter how much pants they are, if we step on the tulle, we're going to trip when we run.  That's why this long option is much more comfortable for girls who know they're not going to stop all day.

Communion jumpsuit for girls who don't want dresses

Maria's case is becoming more and more common. With the number of options we have right now when it comes to choosing what to wear, it's very common for girls to find dresses uncomfortable. Pants allow us a freedom that long dresses never will, although they have the advantage of being   The visual effect is that of a long tulle dress.  The latter is also very good for cases where the girl wants pants and the mother wants a dress. This discussion is quite common in these cases, and this option gives us the opportunity to reach an agreement that both parties are happy with.

Communion trouser sets

As we explained above, the fact that this jumpsuit consists of a blouse and pants has the advantage of making it easier to go to the bathroom and allowing girls to do so independently. But that's not the only advantage. Another strong point of the set is that by buying it separately, you can choose another style of blouse, in this case the one. Gala blouseThe set we see in the photos is made with the Grace blouse Since communions are usually in May, but these years when the communion has been in colder months, the outfit could come out with the long-sleeved crepe blouse and the outfit would change completely.

In summary, these are the advantages of a two-piece outfit over a communion jumpsuit:
  • Ease and autonomy to go to the restroom
  • Personalize the outfit simply by changing the blouse
  • Use the communion blouse or trousers separately on other occasions
  • Size adjustment by being able to choose each garment separately

Another advantage is that you can wear the blouse or pants separately, creating much more casual outfits. For example, these blouses look great with jeans, and the pants, paired with a colorful blouse, are a great option for family events.

Finally, being a two-piece communion set, it has the advantage of a better fit. This means it won't dig into the waistline for very tall girls, nor will it be too loose for shorter girls. On the other hand, girls with a more developed back or chest may need a different size for the top and bottom.

Cotton communion overalls

Given the success of last year's Elena communion jumpsuit For this season we have looked for an alternative for those girls who do not like tulle very much. This is how the Pipa communion jumpsuitA cotton communion jumpsuit. This outfit is more casual, firstly because of the fabric and also because it's ankle-length. The blouse has gathers that are a bit reminiscent of a smocked dress and is finished with ruffles on the sleeves.

This set can also be used on more occasions as it is less formal,   being a beautiful set, without a sash, to go to dinner in summer at the beach,  for example.

Formal jumpsuits for teens

Although we featured these two outfits in our communion collection, we've been asked a lot about them for teens at weddings.   It's a set that remains childlike, but it's no longer a little girl's dress, so on many occasions it's perfect for older girls in the house who already need other types of clothing.

Pants for communion

Other communion pants options you can find include culottes, which look great with a sailor jacket. This is also a great option for girls who don't feel like wearing a dress. Plus, this outfit comes in a variety of colors, making it a very original outfit.

Although in this blog we have focused on the pants option, if you want more information on the subject, you can read this blog about How to dress a girl for her first communion if she doesn't want a dressYou may find some other options that might be more appropriate for you and your daughter.

The most important idea I want you to remember today is that it's essential for the girl to be comfortable and feel like herself when she looks in the mirror. Yes, more formal, but still herself.

Did you feel like yourself on your Communion day? Can you make your little one feel that way? Tell me in the comments!
