Size guide

If you are looking for a dress for a special event, you may feel a little insecure about buying a garment without trying it on your child. How do I know if a suit will fit my child? What is the perfect dress length for a girl? Don't worry, taking measurements is not as difficult as it seems, we are going to give you some indications here. Then you only have to go to the model you are interested in and consult the measurements of the garment. If you still have doubts, you can send us an email so we can help you or advise you on which size to choose based on your measurements.

For girls’ dresses:

1

Chest and waist circumference:

The tape should be placed parallel to the floor, loosely and with two fingers touching the child's skin. The tape should not be loose or tight.
2

Chest

The breast is taken by the most prominent part of the contour. It is important to measure with the child relaxed and with the arms lowered, so that the back does not widen. It is the most important measurement for dresses.
3

Shoulders

Shoulder measurement (see illustration): It is taken from shoulder bone to shoulder bone, with the child in a relaxed position.
4

Length

Knee length and skirt length: You take the tape in a straight line from the corner between the neck and shoulder, across the chest and down to the knee. It would be best to have the measurement at the knee and the length you like. (The dress length you give us here does not exactly match the length of the dress itself, as this depends on the neckline).
5

By age

In certain difficult cases, it is good to also have the age and the size that the girl usually wears, so that we can be sure that we get it right. Is she a tall or thin girl for her age? This type of data also helps us a lot.
6

Waist

The waist circumference is taken by the narrowest. The best way to measure it is to tie a rubber band so that it is placed on its own in the narrowest part. In dresses it is not so important, it is taken simply to make sure. This measurement is not contemplated in the size guides, mainly because girls do not usually have much difference between chest, waist and hips. However, in some specific cases in which the girl is very narrow or very wide in some of these contours, it will be useful to fit her as well as possible in one size.

For adolescent outfits:

1

Chest, waist and hip circumference:

The tape should be placed parallel to the floor, loosely and with two fingers touching the child's skin. The tape should not be loose or tight.
2

Chest and hip

Chest and hip measurements are taken from the most prominent part of the contour. These are the most important measurements for blouses and skirts respectively. It is important to measure the chest circumference of the child in a relaxed position and with the arms lowered, so that the back does not widen.
3

Waist

The waist circumference is taken by the narrowest. The best way to measure it is to tie a rubber band so that it is placed on its own in the narrowest part. If the girl already has curves, the waist will also be important.
4

By age

Also give me the age and the size that the girl usually wears, so we can make sure we get the right size. Is she a tall or thin girl for her age? This type of data also helps us a lot.
5

Length

You take the tape in a straight line from the waistband (for this measurement it is important to have the waistband, because it indicates the point where the waistband of the skirt will be) to the knee. It would be best to have the measurement at the knee and the length you like.
6

Shoulders

Shoulder measurement (see illustration): It is taken from shoulder bone to shoulder bone, with the child in a relaxed position.

For baby and children’s suits:

1

Hips

The pants are hip-dominant, and as they have an elastic waistband, they can be adjusted more or left looser, but the hips must be measured carefully, otherwise the child may not be able to fit into the pants. The tape should be placed parallel to the floor, along the most prominent part of the contour, loosely and with two fingers touching the child's skin. The tape should not be loose or tight. If the child wears a diaper, it should be measured with the diaper on.
2

Chest

On the shirt, the chest rules. It should also be measured by the most prominent part and touching the chest with the fingers, if possible, without a shirt. Once you have encircled the chest with the tape, have the child lower the arms so that the back does not widen too much.
3

Shoulders

It is taken from shoulder bone to shoulder bone, with the child in a relaxed position.
4

By age

In certain difficult cases, it is good to also have the age and size that the child usually wears, so that we can make sure that we get the right size. Is the child tall or thin for his age? This type of data also helps us a lot.
